The fun does not have to stop at the city limits in Vancouver. Just across the water at the North Shore, there are bars clustered all around West Vancouver’s Park Royal Mall and North Vancouver’s Lonsdale Avenue. Be sure that you visit the Village Taphouse that is near the Park Royal when you want to have late night bites and craft brews. There is also a suburb of Richmond that is home to an eclectic selection of pubs and bars along with the must-see River Rock Casino Resort.
This is as close as you will get to the Vegas Strip, filled with neon lights, a lot of clubs and bars and plenty of people. Known as the original entertainment district, you will find younger crowds and plenty to see and do, including live music venues.
This is the oldest neighborhood that has now been reborn recently as a great place to go after dark. Granville Street is the perfect place to go when you want to hit the clubs and bars. Not only will you find stellar cocktails, but there are wine bars, beer halls and Irish pubs for exploring.
This is the real heart of the West End known locally as Davie Village. As a gay-friendly neighborhood, there is a cool “come as you are” feel that flows through the diverse selection of bars. When you want variety, this is the spot to be, including everything from having a glass of wine after your meal or hitting a sweaty club for a lot of dancing with your friends. Overall, there is an open attitude and having a great time is a must.
